President Obama’s Health Care Plan

The bill currently being debated would change the way of life for all Americans. It would allow bureaucrats in Washington D.C. to make decisions on our treatment for us. Do you really think bureaucrats should decide whether your mother should receive a mammogram? Should they be able to place an extra tax on medical devices and wheelchairs FOR YOUR GRANDPARENTS?
The fact is, this bill would cause more than 50% of Americans to lose their current health plan. Our health care premiums could increase to more than $15,000 a year, and the subsidies being promised would not kick in until 12% of our paychecks are already gone.
The nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation reported that the House version of the health care bill specifies that those who don’t buy health insurance and do not pay the fine of about 2.5% of their income for failing to do so can face a penalty of up to five years in prison! The bill describes the penalties as follows: Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year. Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.”
On top of that, the U.S. deficit would rise enormously and young Americans will have no choice but to foot the bill for generations to come.
